What a fantastic evening we had celebrating our wonderful members at the HARC Awards Night 2026! πŸ’™πŸ†

This year we were hosted by The The Village Inn, Brompton, where we enjoyed a brilliant evening of great food, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, the chance to recognise some of the fantastic achievements of our members over the past year.

We were delighted to welcome Al Pepper Runs as our guest speaker. Al entertained us with stories from his running journey and brought plenty of humour to the evening too! It was a real pleasure to have him join us, and we’re very grateful to him for helping make the night so special.

As Al himself said afterwards, he found himself standing in a room full of people who have achieved so much and who are genuine champions of the running community β€” and we think that sums up our HARC members rather nicely! He also gave a special shout-out to our junior athletes, who continue to impress us with their enthusiasm, commitment and some seriously speedy running! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Of course, the main event was celebrating this year’s award winners and runners-up. Competition was as strong as ever, and it was lovely to recognise achievements across the club, from our juniors through to our senior members. A huge congratulations to everyone who received an award! πŸ‘

Our tables also looked extra special thanks to the lovely favours from Ballantynes Chocolates and Confectionery β€” a very tasty little addition to the evening! 🍫

We were also incredibly pleased to raise over Β£200 for Herriot Hospice during the night. Thank you so much to everyone who got involved and helped us support such a worthwhile local charity.

A huge thank you to The Village Inn, Brompton for looking after us, to Al Pepper Runs for being such a brilliant guest speaker, to Ballantynes Chocolates and Confectionery for our favours, and to everyone behind the scenes who helped organise the evening.

And finally, thank you to all our members, coaches, volunteers and supporters. HARC is about so much more than running β€” it’s the people who make the club what it is.

Congratulations again to all of our 2026 award winners, and here’s to another year of running, racing, athletics, friendship and community spirit! πŸ’™
