This is the main group for members and guests of Hambleton Athletics & Running Club.

The club currently meets on Tuesdays (speed/strength reps) and Thursdays (social club run) evenings, Saturday mornings for one of the local Parkruns, and on Sundays for Athletics, a longer or trail run, or meets and races.

Details of each session is provided in the session plan that you can access below (once you have joined the group) and on your home page for the sessions coming up in the next week.

All runs are both in-person and virtually to allow people to join wherever they are. Athletics sessions are in-person only.

Virtual participation uses the Zoom conferencing facility. We use video at the start and end - seeing each other is great in these times - and just audio during the runs or sessions themselves.

If you are joining virtually, think about where you will do the session. For speed training sessions, to make it easier to gauge your level of effort to remain consistent throughout, it is important to choose somewhere where the conditions are consistent throughout the sessions. For timed sessions you can choose any route - perhaps sometimes flat ones and sometimes hilly ones; sometimes on road, and sometimes off.

The links to join via the Zoom mobile phone app or by telephone are provided in each session description, as is the duration of the session.

The sessions will include a warm-up appropriate to the session and explanation of how our group works. We'll use the video on Zoom for those who are virtual for this and encourage you to do the same.
